2014
International Conference on Image and Signal Processing
June 30-July 2, 2014, Cherbourg, Normandy, France.

Welcome to the homepage of the International Conference on Image and Signal Processing 2014 (ICISP 2014)

Each year, Normandy celebrates the anniversary of the Battle of Normandy, which, following the largest amphibious operation ever to be undertaken, enabled France and Northern Europe to be liberated and Peace and Freedom to be restored. 2014 will be a special year because it marks the 70th anniversary of the D-Day battle for Normandy and there will be numerous events to celebrate this momentous day.

The International Conference on Image and Signal Processing (ICISP) is the sixth in the series that has been held since 2001. Historically, ICISP is a conference resulting from the actions of researchers from Canada, France and Morocco. The Universite de Caen Basse-Normandie (France), the Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres (Canada), and the Universite Ibn Zohr (Morocco) will organize the 2014 edition of ICISP. With the conjunction of these two events (ICISP 2014) and the 70th anniversary of the D-Day battle for Normandy, we took the extraordinary opportunity to have renowned invited speakers from the USA (Stanley Osher), Canada (Yuri Boykov) and Europe (Antonin Chambolle, Patrick Perez) to celebrate these two events.

ICISP 2014 aims to provide researchers and practitioners from academia and industry with a forum to report on the latest developments in image and signal processing, multimedia and computer graphics. The conference will also provide a unique opportunity for shearing experiences from different backgrounds with the common interest in advanced methods in the above mentioned fields and in industrial applications. We warmly invite you to participate in this event by submitting your work in all aspects of this field from underlying technologies to applications, and from theory to practice. The technical program will consist in invited talks, oral and poster sessions with topics of general interest in a single track. We particularly encourage submissions from students. Papers are solicited addressing theoretical as well as practical issues related to the conference themes. We look forward to seeing you in Cherbourg in 2014 for what will be a most rewarding and exciting experience!

This year the International Symposium on Multispectral Colour Science MCS 14 will be organized as part of ICISP 2014.

As for the 2008, 2010 and 2012 editions, the proceedings of ICISP 2014 will be published by Springer Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science and are listed in the ISI proceedings index.

ICISP 2014 will also feature a conference dinner, and other social activities. The social activities will be detailed later.

The conference fee includes the social program (conference dinner, opening reception, and cultural activities), coffee breaks, daily lunches and a copy of the proceedings.
